2015 Oceania Cross Tri – Threadbo

Tough racing at altitude when you’re not used to it. My lungs were screaming from the gun – or should I say crack of the whip ! The Tre-X team were not only inventive with the course – steering us around a lake for the swim, through multiple different bike trail formats, and an obstacle course / swing bridge / river run scramble,  we had a horse rider to set us on our way ! I particularly enjoyed the lap format of the race, as it meant you became more familiar with the trail each time around and was able to push faster each time. Also gave you a chance to try out different methods of crossing the swing bridge which was pretty funny to watch. Big thanks to Marty for the heads up yell at that corner with a large boulder – and congrats on fastest Amateur Male 🙂 Placing 6th Pro Women in Oceania is a great start to the Cross Tri year, aiming to be closer to the front next time…
